A hopper is crafted with iron so therefore a wooden pickaxe shouldn't be able to break it and drop a hopper entity - but it can.

Confirmed in 13w11a. Also affects cauldrons.
Please do not mark issues as private, unless your bug report is a security issue containing information that may compromise your server/client.
