In versions 1.12 and below, stained glass, brewing stands and iron bars would only show up on maps if there was a block beneath it, probably because iron bars and brewing stands have holes you can see through, and stained glass is transparent.

I am having the same issues in 1.13-pre1. This does not seem like it was intended to be change with the 1.13 update and seems like a bug to me. I do lots of mapart on minecraft and this would be a hindrance on my creativity as well as the community of mapart makers that I am part of.
I do lots of mapart on a survival server "2b2t.org" and it would be really hard to redo all the map art, can you please keep all the map colors but make the amount of maps that can be made unlimited. Thanks Mojang Team
