When I press play the launcher will close on itself, this is the third this happens in less than two weeks.
If your game loads up just fine, it is probably just a setting you have on the launcher by default. Go to the launcher settings at the bottom left in the newest launcher and click "Keep the Launcher open while games are running" option.
The launcher closes without loading up completely. Hence the game cant load up.
As mentioned in the comments, you can choose to keep it open under settings.
