Minecraft Launcher Fails to connect to Microsoft account login
When choosing to log in with a Microsoft account, a second window opens and shows a plain gray background, after a few seconds it says:
Failed to load the page.
Please check your internet connection and try Reload again.
Error message: ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED (code=-105).
Pressing "Reload" has no visible effects, closing the window shows the launcher with the two login options.
Internet connection definitely available. Account is migrated to Microsoft.
Environment
OS + Hardware:
Ubuntu 21.04 (fresh install) on a ThinkPad p14s Gen 2 (AMD)
Java:
openjdk 17-ea 2021-09-14
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 17-ea+19-Ubuntu-1ubuntu1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 17-ea+19-Ubuntu-1ubuntu1, mixed mode, sharing)

Update:
Only affects version bundled into .deb
Downloading the .tar.gz and launching from there worked
I think its .tar.gz
yes, sorry. Typos being typos I guess - fixed it in the original
Can confirm I have the same issue on Arch Linux. So I am not sure if downloading .tar.gz works since the arch one already downloads that version.
I am also experiencing this; I literally cannot play the game unless I can login to my Microsoft account, which of course I can't do because of the issue.
I've tried it with both .tar.gz and .deb with near identical results.
