MCL-5364Legacy: Automatic launcher updater deleted content of launcher folder
After starting the launcher it was automatically updated. This process deleted the launcher.jar as well as any other file in the ./game folder.
Only files installed by the game should be deleted without permission.
Now current launcher is 1.6.76

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft Launcher version 1.6.84-j? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
