In all previous versions of minecraft (including 1.6.0), you could launch the game with a bat file, this is no longer possible in 1.6.1.
This is very important for people with bad internet.

It's not because of JVM arguments, it's because my internet is super slow and it takes a long time for the launcher to let my login or even play offline.

I need to be able to launch minecraft without using the launcher (except for getting the script first).
You can do the equivalent thing with the profile JVM options section.
Why do you need a way to circumvent the launcher? You don't need an internet connection with the new launcher to log in.
Steps:
1. Open launcher
2. Click "New Profile" on the right
3. Select the "JVM Arguments" checkbox
4. Enter your custom arguments
5. Click "Save Profile"
6. Select the profile from the top right dropdown menu
7. Click "Play Offline"
That's nothing Minecraft can do.
