I have noticed that my compass points towards the world spawn instead of my bed spawn. This has caused several issues when navigating. I have reset my spawn via bed several times, but the compass direction does not budge from pointing at the world spawn.

Compasses point to the world origin, not to a player's bed.
You can use the Lodestone to set a Compass to point to a different place.
