When I open server it goes back to the minecraft launcher and crashes so I cant get on any servers at all.

I remember that it works on my friend's windows 10.
hey, it only worked once, and everything was lagging out when i was in the server anyways.

just downgrade your update from 1.10.1 to 1.10.0. You can do this by accessing edit profile on the launcher and clicking on the "using current version" bar, and it will open into a dropdown menu. click on "1.10", "save profile", and you're all ready to go!!!
