MC-114391Attribute modifiers from equipment are lost when changing dimensions
When entering another dimension while using a piece of equipment with attribute modifiers, the modifier reset and did not update until a piece of equipment was switched. This applies to both items given by commands and normal items.

Hm, I can't seem to reproduce.
/give @p diamond_chestplate 1 0 {AttributeModifiers:[{Slot:chest,Name:a,UUIDMost:5,UUIDLeast:5,AttributeName:generic.knockbackResistance,Operation:0,Amount:1d}]}That worked for me immediately before and after entering a portal.
