Rails placed to the east or south of curved rails break existing connections
See attached screenshot. Placing a rail on any of the diamond blocks re-orients the existing curved rails. This does not happen if the fourth side of the curved rail is a rail of any shape. I suspect the check whether the curved rail is connected on its ends is looking on the wrong side of the rail.

To reproduce, build the setup shown in the attached screenshot and break the rail on the diamond block. Observe the curved rail change orientation.
I suspect this bug has the same cause as MC-122787.
