Do you have enough beds around?
i have 6 beds for 4 farmers... so space for 2 children
Having a somewhat same issue. A naturally generated village got raided and 2 villagers are left. I gave them wheat (they are not farmers), their profession block and have a total of like 20 beds in the whole village including the house i built them in. They only look at each other, but do not breed.

I have the same design in singleplayer it worked but in multiplayer not
Unless this has changed since 1.13 I don't think non farmers can do anything with wheat?
Try giving them bread instead. (Or potatoes/carrots.)
I am using carrots.
You need beds (not doors anymore) and bread. Trading with them seems to make the happy too.
Dennis - that video has beds that the villagers cannot access. Try in a normal village.
For me breeding worked at first and stopped eventually. Villagers won't pick up bread anymore
i found my problem. the villagers cant pick up food if u have the gamerule mobGriefing false
so they cant breed
pls fix it mojang
