I noticed this error when creating my horse stable, I put a different armor for each horse (also the leather one) and, strangely, they all sound like leather, when there are armor sounds.

Probably intentional.
https://feedback.minecraft.net might be a more appropriate place for this.
There's only one sound for equipping horse armor, adding more would be a feature request.
