If you are riding a horse and you throw a instant damage potion at it, it will not be damaged but if you throw any other potions at the horse your riding, it will be effected by it.

Also if A mod sees this, try making it so when someone reports a bug, it will show some bugs that are like the same as the one being reported and it may help duplicates from happening as much
