Server console spam: [SEVERE] Reached end of stream for...
This bug began happening with the update to 1.6
My server console is spammed every few minutes with the following line:
[SEVERE] Reached end of stream for /xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (x's = an actual IP of course)
I've done some looking around online and it appears that i'm not the only one. My guess (along with a few others i've seen post on forums and what-not) is that these errors are because of multiplayer server index websites pinging for player information, etc. So it may just be something that server indexes have to update the way they perform these pings but it might also be something that can be fixed on Mojang's end (especially considering that it just started happening with the 1.6 update) which is why i figured i'd submit a bug report
happy debugging ;P
Environment
Windows 7 - Java version 7 update 25

Please attach the complete server.log.
i have had issues with "end of stream" messages on client side. several versions ago.it primarily happens when my mc client crashes and itry to relog back into the server which is the server inside the client i believe.
added an example server.log file
