MC-257237Minecraft 1.12.2 launcher bug
When running Minecraft specifically on version 1.12.2 (all other versions were checked, all works fine) for some reason, the font and textures are not displayed correctly, with a new installation (recreated several times, completely removing the old, reinstalled Minecraft, none of this helps).
Again, this happens exactly when you run 1.12.2.

However, this issue is Invalid.
Your Minecraft version is outdated. We currently take issues for version 1.19.2 and the latest snapshot.
Please update to the latest version as it includes the newest fixes. If you still have this problem after updating, then please create a new issue.
In case of a game crash, please also attach the crash report found in minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt.

That is, as I understand it, the company does not care about past versions of the game and the bugs in them?
It's worth understanding that every version of Minecraft deserves attention, many people still love and play versions like 1.6.4, 1.7.10, 1.8, 1.12.2 and others.
How many people survive, build or do anything else on the latest version of the game? It's worth thinking about.
And if the "Java Edition" section is created only for new versions, you should revise its name to "Java edition:latest ver".
