MC-3317Can't log into a SMP server when the option to hide IP address is selected.

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected to be able to log into a Private server
What actually happened was...:
Was not able to log in, got "log in too took long" and java errors.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Clicked hide IP address under the edit button
2. Clicked on server to log in
3. Got error
4. Turned off option to hide IP address and was able to log in.
Environment
Windows 7 64 bit

Pretty sure the minecraft auth servers are not responding. Has nothing to do with 'hiding the ip address'.
