Please do not use java 8 yet, it has not been fully released yet and may be unstable.
Cannot confirm on java 7 update 55, minecraft 14w18b with a nvdia 740M.
i have java JDK 8* and the java SE download from the main page at java.com
this is also the first bug i have ever seen while using java 8, other than the more common bugs (e.g. duplication)
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
