Because Realms was ported to the new system and it doesn't do checks on the Title Screen anymore. The error message is going to change though.

Just confirmed this via a Realms developer. Yes, the error is intentional as well.

why is this intended if it gives an error anyway? I know realms doesn't support snapshots, but why does it show up then?
Because realms doesn't support snapshots, will be changing the error message however since it's confusing.
