Confirmed.
This is so you can actually see yourself. Only other spectators can see a spectator. Not an issue.
@qmagnet this is about the hat layer being visible if disabled in the settings, not the head
if hte hat layer is disabled in the settings, why does it still render in spectator mode?
I'd say this is actually a duplicate of
MC-49628. I bet the skin customization in general has no effect with spectator mode.yes it is
