I think this isn't a bug. When you kill an entity, it will display it's ID. For example the ID of a pig is simply "Pig". For dropped Items, the IDs are a bit strange
well it says killed item, then it says block or item, then it says what, I'm positive it is intended behaviour
But shoudn't it then say simply: Killed Name Tag?
well it says killed "custom name of entity" and since the entity is not named, but the item, it uses this
it works normally with the entity tag CustomName, see screenshots
