Minecraft does not resolve SRV records
I have an SRV record pointing to xxx. This SRV record makes play.xxx.com redirect to bsladfadfalsjkdf.xxx.com
What I expected to happen was...:
I expected it to work. This only happens with OSX
What actually happened was...:
http://pastebin.com/KQvg88db
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a domain
2. Make an SRV record
3. It doesn't work
Again, this is only broken with OSX, the IP works perfectly on Windows.
This is a temp fix:
networksetup -setv6off wi-fi
networksetup -setv6off ethernet
You need to turn off ipv6
This is an issue with Mojang. I can confirm that 100%. SRV records work perfectly with Safari, and TeamSpeak3
Environment
OSX 10.7.5
