Working on OSX 10.8.2 for me, investigating your crash report...
Same mac version, no crash. Does minecraft have permissions to the folder its running in?
It can be a corrupted jar file, but you should also update your java version to 7 (search on google). Try to redownload the entire bin folder.
I'm also on MacOS and single player works fine. But it crashes when I login to a server. I also added my crash report log.
