The Minecraft reference skin "Steve" has a render issue
Players with out a custom player skin otherwise know as "Steve" have a skin error that produces a severely mutated 'thing' with no arms, legs or back. I went to several servers and saw the same thing with the "Steves" there. The Problem is caused by the new reference skin "Alex" that slightly changes the player model and acts as the new default skin, the Steve skin refrences to the Alex model and because the dimensions are incorrect the skin loads improperly. I asked 10 - 15 of the people that I saw with this issue and they all said that they had no custom skin. I believe that the root of the problem lays in the Skins database.
Environment
OSX, Windows, and Lunix, I run easily 210 fps and have a Intel i7 Quad core, 8GB DDR3 RAM, and ATI AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512 mB VRAm so it is not my computer.
