MC-772681.8.1 "Chunk Glitch" in a single-player survival world
In 1.8, I couldn't play survival worlds because chunk glitches would pop up everywhere. I was overjoyed when the fix to 1.8.1 fixed this, but I came upon a new problem. Where, in 1.8, a 16x16 hole in the ground would appear, in 1.8.1, a 16x16 pillar will be there. It's just a regular chunk, but at the wrong elevation. This is ruining my Minecraft experience, and I would really appreciate it if someone would help me with this.
Environment
My Minecraft is completely unmodded, except for optifine. My Java is up to date, with the new launcher, but I don't know what version it is.
