When flowing water falls vertically past water flowing along a flat surface, the vertical water flows into and against the horizontal water, increasing the water level and preventing items to flow downstream.

Just prevent the water from falling down with some signs.

I wanted it to flow next to it. The picture contains an automated harvester.
