Sticky piston stays extended with no power source - placed a redstone block diagonally up and left then destroyed redstone block. Piston stays extended. Sticky pistons only. All gamemodes. Vanilla. All versions of 1.8. I'm using 1.8.9.

This is called BUD(Block Update Detector), and it is a official feature. Work as intended.
BUDs are not an official feature, but this is a dupe of
MC-108.Really? Aren't they a feature? (Well I guess it was a bug first, and then changed...?)
