Positional Sound/Audio Has Incorrect Stereo Projection
Using stereo headphones, there is a noticeable error in the position of sound with regard to what is on the screen compared to what is heard in the left and right earphones. I am listening with the Switch docked over bluetooth on Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless headphones with no equalization and high-end sound tuning enabled.
Music and ambient noise sounds fine for the most part. The issue is that what I hear does not correctly model what I see. Unless something is directly centered on-screen, audio tends to play strictly from the left or right channel without any interpolation. If anything is near-center but clearly some distance left or right, it sounds far right or far left. That's the politics of it for you.
It would be expected that audio in the world is represented as a box extending outwards from, and bounded by, the screen or near plane or other equivalent that is then stereographically projected onto a unit sphere modeling a head, and then the model mapped to physical conditions implemented through commercial standards to which the user is free to disregard or vary.
