When launching Minecraft, the launcher will open up the white Mojang screen and load to 80%. From there, it will become unresponsive and will not allow for the submission of a crash report.

So my issue is similar to this, but for some reason, the launcher_log.txt file does not exist in my game.

I found a fix for me (first off if you want to save your worlds make a back up of them) what you need to do is right click the launcher, go to properties, go to compatibility tab, then tick run this program in compatibility for, and change it to windows vista (service pack 1), apply and boom it works at least for me. Good luck on your travels.
Could we get an update please? I would like to play with Mods its been a week now
The logs seem to indicate your systems have been tampered with.
Do you have any minecraft-related third party software installed, or have you had such software installed previously?
There's a file called hosts, you can find it under this location:
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc
Could you please attach that to this issue?
