MCL-14504Black screen on minecraft launcher for chrome OS running Linux
My friend successfully downloaded the Minecraft launcher on their chromebook using Linux but when it opens it's a blank black screen. They closed and reopened it and it still hasn't worked. If anyone knows a solution to this problem, please help.

ChromeOS isn't an officially supported OS, which means we can't take bug reports from people running Minecraft on it.
I am having the same problem on my chromebook. This is when it be nice if nerds who actually know linux stepped in to help us chromebook users when mojang won't. My problem is when the launcher or game are loaded and the window size is changed at all, the screen goes black entirely. I think that it still is working in the backround as you can kind of push buttons but they do not do anything. I cannot tell if it softlocks or not but I do know it does not crash.Screen recording 2022-04-19 9.16.36 PM.webm
I have ample evidence that this was caused by a chromebook update but I bet there is some work around in terminal or something
