MCL-1683Minecraft Launcher 1.2.7 not working with Minecraft 1.6.4 on Mac
The game does not launch.
I have completely removed and reinstalled and still no luck.
I Click on the Minecraft app and click log in after entering my detail and it does not launch.
1. Go to Applications
2. Click on Minecraft icon
3. Launcher starts and I log in with my details (Email and password)
4. I come to Update notes screen and click "Play"
and........ nothing !

Mac OS X 10.7.5 with Java Version 7 update 45

I am running latest version of Java...... see attached document minecraft is not recognising the fact.
I have spent 5 hours trying to fix this for my son... to say it is frustrating is an understatement.
Why wont the game work ?
