MCL-20884The Server permission option doesn't seem to work.
When i go to the online option in 1.18.1 and turn off server settings it doesnt work because the render distance is still too low. This didnt happen in 1.17.1 as there was no online option.

It seems that while playing in multiplayer, (using F3+F) only Render Distance between 2 and 6 are working, and anything above 6 will be ignored, while the server.properties view-distance is actually more than 6.
Saying something "doesn't work" does not tell us enough. We need to know what actually happens and what you did.
