I am having the same issue with minecraft launcher, on Debian buster (10.12). My glibc version is 2.28 (Debian GLIBC 2.28-10+deb10u1)
Same issue here. Launcher updated itself today on first run, now it won't start.
Error from launcher_log.txt after attempting to launch launcher is:
