Installed launcher on Ubuntu, won't start due to being unable to find blocklist-1.0.10.jar
Although I did try downloading mods before properly starting the game, the inability to use a non 1.21 version to bug test is itself a bug. Note that when I list computer paths, I will replace my computer name with [username], to maintain anonymity.
I believe the cause of this bug is that, when the Minecraft launcher was downloading, it did not create all necessary files. The file path specifically listed as nonexistent is
Path: /home/[username]/.minecraft/libraries/com/mojang/blocklist/1.0.10/blocklist-1.0.10.jar
The spot where this file path fails is within the /libraries folder (there is no /com file). I am concerned about how this incomplete download either made it to the public domain or was insufficiently bug tested with the Fabric system. Even though I am unable to find the current tutorial which I used to install Minecraft on Linux, I downloaded it from the official site before using the terminal to install dependencies. Below is the full error code I have been recieving, with the singular, aformentioned anonymity edit.
Unable to create directory.

Hi!
Did you install the mods before you were able to boot the actual Launcher?
Does this issue occur on every other version of Java?
Can you uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.
Please also add a video of this issue.
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.
I have the exact same problem on PopOs (Which is basically a Ubuntu)
I did not install mods yet.
The issue is still there for 1.21 and prior versions
I tried uninstalling, deleting the .minecraft folder reinstall, restart and boot the launcher, the issue is still there.
I can't add a video, but here are screenshots (the issue is the same even on normal installations, not only fabric launcher):
