MCL-3303Launcher doesn't open.
When I open the newest minecraft.exe, it opens a window that says, "Downloading Runtime, which I know is normal. But it would go for some time, stop, blink a little bit, then it would close, and the launcher would never start. I don't know why it is doing that, and I have tried to redownload minecraft.exe.

This was created when I ran minecraft.exe.
It tries to download a new runtime which could take some time. Seems like your java installation is corrupt (it reports version 1 instead of 1.8)
I am using the old minecraft.exe for now, and everything works fine when I use it.
Is this still an issue with the current Launcher 1.6.11 ?
Please download & install the Minecraft Installer from https://minecraft.net/download
I have tested the newest launcher 3 times and all three times it successfully downloaded. However now I have Minecraft installed.
