MCL-410Saves and Texture Packs disappearing from launcher but not from Minecraft folder
The issue was resolved it appears the launcher had created a new minecraft folder for some reason so I just deleted this new folder and the issue was fixed. I'm not sure how to delete the report so sorry about it if it is a waste of time.
Environment
Mac OSX 10.5.8 and I think it's Java 7 but I'm not sure.

Saves and Texture Packs disappearing from launcher but not from Minecraft folder
What happened was I opened Minecraft as usual when I noticed that it appeared to be updating itself without asking me if I wanted to. When I logged in I went into my texture packs list in order to change my texture pack and all the texture packs were gone. I thought this peculier so I went to my "minecraft" folder where all the saves. texture packs, screenshots etc were saved and all my texture packs were still inside the texture packs folder there, but not in the texture pack list on the launcher. When I clicked on the "open texture packs folder" button on the launcher it opened up exactly the same texture packs folder as the one i had just checked but this time it was empty. Its seems that when I check the folder through the "minecraft" folder all my old texture packs are still there but when I open it thorough the launcher all my texture packs are gone. All my saves and servers I had added were also gone when I went through the launcher but when I checked my minecraft folder all the save folders were still there.
