MCL-695Minecraft 1.6.1 launcher icon weirdness
The icon of the new 1.6 Dev launcher seems to have been absorbed into my system , so when i installed the full 1.6 launcher even though it's using the the old icon (as shown in the video when i winRAR'ed it) whenever i rename it to the same name as the Dev launcher the icon changes to the new one.

Try running ccleaner with the option "Icon Cache", that will reset all the icons.
This sounds super stupid but... have you tried restarting it?
Windows caches icons based on filename. That cache can be cleared by restarts!
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft / Launcher version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
