does it always do this?
I've had it do it about 4 times, finally got it to link on the 5th for it to say there was an error. Gave up at that point
is it possible to try to sign in another account. It might be an issue with your account.
As OctoBiblious0 asked, have you tried different account?

It's not the account. When you click the XBOX link, it crashes the game, not even letting you attempt to sign in.
We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
