Minecraft Legends says on the official website (help) that Xbox auto-syncs, but it doesn't sync sometimes .
They sync at regular intervals or when you 'run' the game, not when you turn off the game. So, if you want a complete game data backup, just turn off the game and then turn it on and off again.
However, this is not unusually inconvenient, so it needs to be improved.

The Xbox platform handles syncing data for game saves and not the games, so this isn't something that can be fixed with the game.
