Why only 9 chunks?
I was told that I could submit feedback here. I mean no disrespect to the devs. When I saw that the new update limited the render distance to 9 chunks, I was really sad. I hardly ever experienced any lag with Caves and Cliffs experimental features, 16 chunks rendered and a simulation distance of 6 chunks on my iPhone 8. My Brother has an SE (1st generation) and he's just as well off rendering 10 chunks. The following link is a comparison of the processor in my phone and the processor that is used as recommended Java Edition system requirements. I have a fire tablet 7 with is 1/7 as fast and handle 10 chunks quite well. So I feel compelled to make the argument that the limit is...well...It doesn't have much reason behind it. I really don't care how slow the game makes my device. I have never had any problems with overloading. If the devs are worried, I would rather they give a warning that limit us players, but not make a large window pop up reading:
Warning: Your device may not function properly while rendering more than nine chunks!!{}
because that's just to much as I have just demonstrated. I mean no disrespect to the devs.

I also forgot to mention that the world feels much smaller now. By big window, I don't mean what's in the submitted screenshot.
