I can confirm this happens as well. I have two iOS devices running the latest iOS version of iOS 9. Both are experiencing the same reported issue.

Just updated to 0.16.0 last night and now can't open a world or create a new world - game shuts down after 2-3 seconds.
Happening to me too. iPad running iOS 9.3,5. Can start the game, but after a view seconds the game shuts down. It doesn't save the view moves I was able to make in those 2 or tree seconds. If i start the game again, it starts from before the shutdown

When I tried to submit a different bug report, it told me version 0.16.0 didn't exist and wouldn't let me submit it. What happened? I have a different set of issues.

This needs to be fixed now. I can't open a world or join any friends worlds, MCPE 0.16.0 just keeps crashing.
I know Elizabeth B, it is, and the minecraft PE developers haven't responded yet.

This has happened on my sons IPad, luckily mine and my daughters are still on 0.15.10 but my son is not happy!!
Elizabeth B, just got the game not too long ago so it's annoying when they don't respond and I have no idea when they will; hopefully they will respond soon and fix it because I want to play Minecraft with my girlfriend.
Ugh couldn't even try out the new features cuz of this annoying bug... We need a 0.16.1 I don't think this update was ready
