For some reason hardcore mode only exists in preview despite its intended addition alongside 1.21. This is the case for all platforms
Steps to reproduce
- Open Preview
- Open World creating GUI (new)
- Open Release
- Open world GUI again
Expected Results:
Hardcore is there
Observed Results:
Hardcore is not in release.

As mentioned in the changelog "we want to ensure we get Hardcore mode right before releasing it into the retail version of Bedrock Edition, so once it goes into testing it’ll stay in Preview until we’re confident the experience is smooth for both players and creators."
Therefore hardcore mode is only available in Preview versions for now.
