What I expected to happen was:
The Johnny easter egg to work with a vindicator spawn egg renamed as Johnny
What actually happened was:
The Johnny easter egg doesn't work if a Johnny spawn egg is used
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Rename a vindicator spawn egg Johnny
2. Spawn in a pig
3. Notice that the Johnny doesn't attack the pig

I guess it's not in the game yet...
Works for me, Samsung galaxy tab 4 android 5.0.1 & samsung Galaxy s4 android 4.4.2 in creative mode.
Are you naming the vindicator with a name tag or naming the spawn egg?
If that is the case then this is a specific case of
MCPE-18055, resolving as a duplicate.
