On Better Together:
My spawners stopped working. I have 4 spawners: Spider, skeleton, zombie, and blaze. Yesterday, the spawners were working normally. But, the next day, it seems the spawners are broken, and won't spawn anything.
Then, I noticed mobs aren't spawning in the Nether. After I killed all mobs in the nether fortress, there are no mobs spawning there.
This issue is occurring on a synced world.
So, I am wondering if there is a problem with mobs spawning in the game..

Are you sure you haven't set the difficulty on peaceful - do you have mobs enabled?
Yep, this issue has been around since Xbox360 version. Everyone knows about it, and hasn't been fixed. The mob spawners will eventually stop spawning anything. The method to make it work (back in the day) was switch from Normal to Peaceful to Hard and change difficulties and reload the world about 10 times, and doing so it would eventually work again.. It seems Better Together has the same glitch, although I haven't found a remedy.
It is highly unlikely that Bedrock has the same glitch for the same reason, since Bedrock and the legacy Console Edition are written in different languages by different companies.
Please ensure that you're not playing on Peaceful difficulty and that, if you've enabled cheats, you haven't turned of Mob Spawning. Those are the most likely causes for this problem.
No, either of those... @Auldrick Every bug I've submitted so far has been on the Better Together version. I agree they are written in different language and different games, didn't mean to cause any confusion.. It is unique that both versions were experiencing the issue, and I thought I'd mention just as a comment for Thomas.
I don't have cheats enabled, I didn't turn off mob spawning, the difficulty isn't on Peaceful, and Achievements are enabled...
I wonder if I should just consolidate this into my other Bug report about Cumulative Issue with mobs spawning:
MCPE-28426. It would probly be better than listing them differently.I had this happen on a converted world (not sure if that's what you meant by "synced" world). Had to use cheats to restart the spawners (using Realms). The strange thing is that when I first encountered a spawner, it worked. It was in a previously generated area, but we had not found it yet. 2 were about 50 blocks apart and both were working, then a few days later were no longer working, and no mob was featured in the spawner cage. Breaking the spawner and replacing it fixed the issue.
How do you break + replace a spawner? Is it possible in survival mode?
Spawning issues may be the most difficult to investigate, because spawning happens wherever there is a player and behaves in very different ways depending on what's happening in the surrounding chunks. Since the player moves around, that means the conditions spawning depends on are constantly changing, and that can change how spawning bugs behave. There's no way for us to be sure that the issue you describe here is related to another issue, so it's up to you whether to report it as one bug or two, but the more dissimilar details you give the more it makes better sense to treat them as different bugs.
It's not possible to obtain a mob spawner in survival mode without an exterior inventory editor. If you want to preserve the ability to earn achievements, I'm afraid you may not be able to get these spawners working again unless a bug fix can do it.
Ivan Isovich mentioned that in his case the spinning mob in the spawner seemed to have disappeared. I was assuming you still had the spinning mob, but if not that could be an important clue to the cause, so are your spawners still inhabited?
Also, do you know whether all spawners are broken or just the ones you've mentioned? That is, do you know of or have you found any spawners that are still working in this world? What about other worlds?

MCPE-28177. Also, from the earlier ticket, the spinning mobs do indeed disappear from the spawner when this happens.I noticed there's no spinning mob in the cage. Thank you for bringing this to my attention Ivan.
