- Switch to Survival mode
- Open the crafting table
- Left-click the stairs in the recipe book

I could not reproduce, the issue is old but I see you added beta, is this only reproducible on beta now?
No, I think this issue only happens on low-end devices. These are my computer specs:
I've tested this issue on my new laptop which has an i5 11400H, RTX 3060, and 16GB of RAM and I can still reproduce it, but only when crafting multiple stacks of stairs. So, this issue isn't exclusive to low-end devices, but it clearly is worse on them.

This issue has gotten worse. The freeze lasts longer, and crafting half a stack of an item is now enough to freeze the game.
