Cannot sign-in to Xbox account within Minecraft Bedrock
This happened after the most recent minor 1.16.1 patch. I changed my email alias (outlook, live) and made that the main alias (so i type that email to login to pc, send emails using that email), then I got rid of the old alias because it was a typo. The typo email was not even the email I registered Minecraft with. Now I cannot sign in to minecraft, the game simply crashes. I've tried logging in once a week for what feels like a month. Please help if possible!
Note: I was signed into Minecraft before changing the alias address on my email, but it signed me out after (maybe during an update?). Fun fact, I had changed the alias once before (from my original, to the typo) and nothing happened in MC.
The Windows 10 Xbox companion works fine, my Xbox app is working, it is all signed in, though it says I only have Minecraft Dungeons.
In my Windows Store it says I still have Minecraft under my account, which is why i can even install it.
After uninstalling and installing MC, the same result happens continuously ad infinitum.
When I click Minecraft Bedrock Edition for windows 10, the game launches normally.
The loading screen appears fine, once it loads it asks me to "Sign In For Free", if i hit cancel I'm stuck as Steve, offline.
Main menu has a Sign in, as well as the settings options, signing in either way does the same thing..
I click "Sign In For Free", then I click "Let's Play" to my account info, it freezes at "Connecting" and then bam, game crash.
TL;DR:
So whenever I click sign in, a pop-up appears, with my Xbox account name, profile photo, asking me if I would like to sign in.
If I select "Lets Play", the game opens a new dialogue inside Minecraft attempting to verify my login, except the whole client crashes instead and I am now deadlocked out of the game.

Unsure if this issue affects the RTX rev of the game
it wasn't even the email I registered the game to, i just changed my regular pc & email login info, how did this affect MC?
Really hope my purchases didn't get deleted, ahh!
I legitimately cant afford to re purchase the game or all my texture packs, I'd poured like 30-50 bucks into texture packs over the past year..
Edited for readability. Sorry for my poor English skills, I hope this still makes sense regardless.
Thank you for reading this post, hopefully this can get resolved because I cannot seem workaround the issue alone, and I've been genuinely considering using outlook to return my old alias email back although it was a typo to see if that fixes my issue?? (i'm running out of ideas here, would this help? im scared it would make the issue more complex)
Please help, my friends in our world have been leaving me in the dust since I cant join, I know this is my own fault, but idk what to do and I've been stuck playing as Steve on Singleplayer (or alone on my Java edition account, boo)

Main menu has a Sign in, as well as the settings options, signing in either way does the same thing..
I click "Sign In For Free", click "Let's Play", it freezes at "Connecting" and then bam, game crash. I cannot workaround the issue, and I've been genuinely considering getting my old alias email back although it was a typo to see if that fixes my issue?? (i'm running out of ideas here, would this help?)Whenever I click sign in, a pop-up appears, with my Xbox account name, profile photo, asking me if I would like to sign in. If I select "Lets Play", the game opens a new dialogue inside Minecraft attempting to verify my login, except the whole client crashes and I am now deadlocked out of the game, my friends in our world have been leaving me in the dust since I cant join.
Lesson Learned: Don't change your email address's alias on outlook, it wasn't even the email I registered the game to, just my regular email/pc login. Really hope my purchases didn't get deleted, ahh!
Unsure if this issue affects the RTX rev of the game, as I don't have an RTX card, but I'm not sure that wouldn't really make a difference right now.
This happened after the most recent minor 1.16.1 patch. I changed my email alias (outlook, live) and made that the main alias (so i type that email to login, send emails using that email), then I got rid of the old alias because it was a typo. The typo email was not even the email I registered Minecraft with. Now I cannot sign in to minecraft, the game simply crashes. I've tried logging in once a week for what feels like a month. Please help.. I cant afford to re purchase the game or all my texture packs.
Note: I was signed into Minecraft before changing the alias address on my email, but it signed me out after. The Windows 10 Xbox companion works fine, my Xbox app is working, it is all signed in, though it says I only have Minecraft Dungeons.
In my Windows Store it says I still have Minecraft under my account, which is why i can even install it.
After reinstalling and installing it, the same result happens continuously ad infinitum. Please help, I know this is my own fault, but it's been forever I've been stuck playing as Steve (or on Java edition.. boo!)
When I click Minecraft Bedrock Edition for windows 10, the game launches normally.
The loading screen appears fine, once it loads it asks me to "Sign In For Free", if i hit cancel I'm stuck as Steve, offline.

I click "Sign In For Free", then I click "Let's Play" to my account info, it freezes at "Connecting" and then bam, game crash.TL;DR:
So whenever I click sign in, a pop-up appears, with my Xbox account name, profile photo, asking me if I would like to sign in.
If I select "Lets Play", the game opens a new dialogue inside Minecraft attempting to verify my login, except the whole client crashes instead and I am now deadlocked out of the game.---------------------------------------------------
Unsure if this issue affects the RTX rev of the gameit wasn't even the email I registered the game to, i just changed my regular pc & email login info, how did this affect MC?
Really hope my purchases didn't get deleted, ahh!I legitimately cant afford to re purchase the game or all my texture packs, I'd poured like 30-50 bucks into texture packs over the past year..
Note: I was signed into Minecraft before changing the alias address on my email, but it signed me out after (
ormaybe during an update?).The Windows 10 Xbox companion works fine, my Xbox app is working, it is all signed in, though it says I only have Minecraft Dungeons.
