REALMS-623Invalid session - Please try restarting Minecraft
To begin with, for any staff-I've already tried restarting the Minecraft Launcher, logging out and relogging, and my computer itself.
When I click minecraft realms from the main menu of minecraft I see "invalid session: Please try restarting Minecraft." I can't see any world options or anything, just the error.
Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue. Restarted launcher. Using no mods. No modded launcher. Vanilla resource pack. Another user here says they've even reinstalled Minecraft. I've posted a copy of my output logs here
In addition, I'm using the current version profile option (1.12.2). I believe the logs indicate that as well.
Same issue here too. Stock game, no mods, Multiplayer works fine, haven't been able to get into Realms for about a half hour. Tried logging out, reinstalling, and nothing works. I'm on a Mac though.

Got the same problem:
-relogged in launcher
-restarted launcher
-reinstalled both minecraft and the launcher
-changed password (i've read on reddit that could be a hacking problem)
-rebooted windows
-tried on third part launchers (techniclauncher, curse (now twitch) launcher)
everything is vanilla: no mod, no launcher, no cracked client, no resource pack and so on
The issue persists.
Same issue, Restarted launcher, also logged out and back in, my friend is going to try and remove then re-add me to the realms whitelist to see if that helps
EDIT: MY friend has same issue, cant even access the admin panel for the realm

Also having this issue on two user accounts and two separate computers. Local worlds work. Realms go straight to Invalid Session ID, Please try restarting Minecraft. - Re starting or Re install does not fix
Same problem. I'm a realm owner and as soon as I click on Realms from the launcher it shows me the error. I can't access realm admin options, whitelist, anything.

Same here. I was in realms earlier today and I went to get lunch to only come back to it unable to work. I have looked up everything in an attempt to fix it even trying multiple times and nothing has worked.

Attempted to run previous version 1.12 and 1.11 no joy same issue.. seems to be a server level failure

Tried restarting Minecraft and launcher, loggin off/on, different user, different PC, and reinstalling. Nothing has worked.
I got the same issue. I am not able go into realms but everything else works fine. I've tried restarting launcher / logging out and restarting launcher / restarting computer / running minecraft program in Admin / reinstalling minecraft. None of that seemed to work.

They seemed to fix the issue, now it allows me to join realms with no issues!

Just wow how has this not gotten assigned yet.
People are reporting it on Reddit, down detector, Twitter, etc. and they are not even aware I think.
Closing as invalid, not a bug but a service issue.
I have started having this problem today, and so has a friend (who owns the Realm).
We are both on 1.12.2, and have been visiting the Realm frequently.
I had only last been on the Realm earlier today, and now this bug has appeared, preventing the Realm from being used.
(A group of us had been working on preparing the Realm to be opened to the rest of our friends tomorrow, and we were planning a big celebration... I do hope that this issue will be resolved soon...)
Edit: Realms has started functioning again, for me, at least. Thanks to whoever is responsible for this, and I hope that the problem is solved for everyone else, too.
It's still not working for me, I've tried everything and I'm not using anything special on minecraft. I need to work on something with my friends right now and this is really annoying. The realms I go on and the version I'm using myself are both 1.12.2. If you could help me, that'd be great.
I have found that by removing or renaming the file 'realms_persistence.json' in the .minecraft directory of the user AppData->Roaming folder fixed the problem (at least for me).
