Normally, cacti can be placed on sand and red_sand, both of which are the only two blocks in the block tag "#sand"
For consistency, cacti should abide by the #sand block tag, also allowing cacti to be placed on blocks other than sand and red_sand with a data
pack.
23w40a introduced a damage type tag for damage types that can incrementally knock down armor stands. This was announced on the minecraft.net changelog article:
"[Minecraft Snapshot 23w40a | Minecraft: Java Edition|https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-23w40a]"as "can_break_armor_stands" (plural)
However, the actual game file is named "can_break_armor_stand" (singular) which is probably incorrect, as related tags are titled in the plural form.

I could have sworn I've seen similar reports made and were not marked as suggestions {}shrug{}
Agh, Dhranios is right. I always have Invulnerable and NoAI on at the same time, and I made the mistake of not having Invulnerable set to true...
Sorry
@Dhranios I understand that the blog posts have mistakes, and yes, I did notice the "text' and I am aware of inconsistencies with plurality in tags, however, given that both of these two issues applied in this case, I figured it was within the realm of possibility that the singular form was not intended. SlicedLime's video, which I know isn't technically official, also shows the plural form, for instance.
Proof added
I thought it might be worth noting that this "bug fix" did end up getting implemented into the game, as the #sand block tag now affects cactus placement
So, just to be clear, it's a feature request to have the /give command be able to give the player something that can be seen in the /data command results, despite the fact that this is inconsistent with every other situation?
Wait, how does show_notitication in the recipe files affect / compare to show_toast in the advancement recipe files?
This is now a feature in the game btw
