(Going to be re-edited)
So ever since the latest 1.13 (18w10d) that's has lately been released I noticed a big issue with the new water mechanic: All types of slabs, stairs, fences, trapdoors, and ladder (when you right-click the water bucket into the same space) the direction of the flowing water does not seem to be able to push any mobs when they're standing it and as well for the items when you throw them into the flowing waters direction, it doesn't seem to move at all.
I even tested it with my own player to see if the flowing water would only affect players and not effect mobs and items, miraculously though, when my player jumped into the flowing water I didn't move at all in any particular directions. It's a bit queer that the said flowing water direction doesn't seem to do any thing hope that gets patched very soon before you fully release 1.13.
As always just gotten myself into the latest Snapshot 18w19a and just started to test every thing including the water properties and noticed something... odd with the water behavior. But I do hope this has some intended usage whether or not it was left on purpose or the Mojang developers haven't gotten around to this problem yet that I have recently just found and tested.
So I noticed that when you placed down a water bucket to the side of a solid block of any type after I placed down all variations of stairs, slabs, fences (iron and cobblestone), glass panes (regular/stained), ladder, chests (regular, trapped, and ender chest), and trapdoors under the water source block the water did not flow out in any directions. I even tested it to see if it would update it when you break the solid block(s) and, incredibly, it didn't update it stood still over it. The trapdoors didn't even update when you open them and the water still stood above it not flowing outwards.
I hope this is *indeed*a bug and, rather, not a function where you can now have floating water source blocks over these objects. As always just gotten myself into the latest Snapshot 18w19a and just started to test every thing including the water properties and noticed something... odd with the water behavior. So while I was in my creative world testing/building in the latest snapshot, 19w08b, I've stumbled upon a weird mob spawning behavior that's done with mob spawn eggs.
I've tested every type of mobs that are spawned with their egg and spawned each everyone individually (with the egg, not spawned in through commands.) and everyone single one seemed to be misplaced down into the block when they're supposed to be in the water stream not spawned into the block. They also don't seem to take suffocation damage the moment the mobs heads are collided into the block as they're falling through.
Here is one of my screenshots that I took for evidence for y'all to see:

To everyone seeing this, does it effect everyone in Minecraft / Minecraft PE / Minecraft Console Edition or just one of them?
A re-edit for putting in better screenshot evidences for the slabs, trapdoors, stairs, ladder, and fences.
@[Mod] Pokechu22 I'll turn back on the Snooper Settings. The reason I turned them off I was testing something if I can have better FPS if I turned it off and it did work so I'll setup the Snooper Settings back on for you to collect the information.
And I might do it in the latest snapshot 18w19b cause I have 2 bugs where if you shift-click any enchanted books into the anvil it just crashed my world or I either did it too quickly. And for some reason the tools and weapons are acting weird they're making a weird stuttering where it's trying show up in the hand or off-hand and doesn't show it.
I will do as you asked but I noticed a 1.14.4-pre5 was released, just now. If I'm having the same issue just like before in 1.14.4-pre2 I will send the .minecraft/launcher_log.txt file for both sides of the pre-releases but for now I'm going to check out 1.14.4-pre5 has fixed my issue and, if it is fixed you can delete my report issue.
Well it's no longer an issue, it was fixed in 1.14.4-pre5. But if you still want the .minecraft/launcher_log.text file still for 1.14.4-pre2 I'll try. Haven't done anything like this before to try to get more information to you.
