Just replace "iron_chestplate" with "iron_leggings" for testing with two armor pieces.
Try putting on a chestplate armor, then scrolling over some pants, and you will see that the armor health dissapears. Also, health doesn't accumulate correctly.
@SunCat I already saw that report. It mentions nothing about going through solid thick blocks, only thin blocks.
The video doesn't show the same issue either, so I'll be adding this information to that report.

Players can also still clip through solid thick blocks using enderpearls, if the blocks form a corner.

I'm surprised this ticket is open since 2012 and the issue still isn't fixed, it's so annoying :S
@Ruudiluca So you are saying that on the current latest snapshot clipping through cielings is no longer possible?
To put this a different way, It's only possible to clip through thin walls such as the ones shown on your video?
@Ruudiluca Yeah, but it envolves plugin usage. We are talking about pure Vanilla here

This bug is such a classic. Maybe it's about time we consider it part of the gameplay.
@Ruudiluca If you mean the oldest bug, I just did a search for very old OPEN bug reports, and found some even older results than this bug:
