The two halves of the Inventory screen overlap and interfere with each other. Also, when exiting the game, the Yes/No text on on the buttons is missing
and neither of them does anything when clicked.The two halves of the Inventory screen overlap and interfere with each other. Also, when exiting the game, the Yes/No text on on the buttons is missing, when clicked both buttons make a click sound effect but have no other effect (game does not exit). This is on a Dell Latitude E6440 with resolution set to 1600 x 900.

Sorry - there's actually no problem, or rather I know what the issue is and it's not a bug. The packs are all still unlocked, but if my xbox live account is signed in, they don't appear (my son doesn't use an xbox live account).
There were some add-ons and texture packs (although now none are showing up for some reason?) but these were all downloaded through minecraft so not 3rd party as far as I know. Either way they are not enabled now and the problem persists.
Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed the problem, although all my son's maps are gone... hopefully I can get them back somehow?
Oh bugger it - if only I had read your comment first and backed up the saves!!!
